Each week The Autism Society recognizes a particular Affiliate that has done great work in promoting our mission of improving the lives of all affected by autism. This week, we would like to recognize The Autism Society of Colorado for the incredible work they do!

The Autism Society of Colorado has been working hard to make the state of Colorado a more accepting and welcoming place for people with ASD, through their Opening Doors program. The Opening Doors Program aims to provide sensory friendly, accepting, and inclusive experiences for individuals and families affected by ASD, through partnerships with businesses in the community. As Colorado trains business owners and employees through their Autism 101 training program, to ensure their business is a comfortable place for people with autism.

Coming up this weekend, AS Colorado will also be hosting the Hope Gala, where the will honor Dr. Temple Grandin, and the Patton family for their incredible contributions to the autism community. The event will take place at the Ritz Carrolton, and will provide financial support for AS Colorado’s plethora of incredible autism programming.

Thank you to the incredible team at The Autism Society of Colorado for all the hard work you do to forward our mission of improving the lives of all affected by autism!
