Congressman Mike Doyle and Congressman Chris Smith present closing keynote at 44th Annual National Conference

The Autism Society is excited to announce Congressman Mike Doyle and Congressman Chris Smith, co-chairs of the Congressional Autism Caucus also known as C.A.R.E. (the Coalition for Autism Research and Education) as keynote speakers at this year’s conference.
Together, they will be providing the closing keynote remarks at our 44th Annual National Conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania July 10-13th.
As co-chairs of the Autism Caucus, Congressman Doyle and Smith are responsible for the two most significant pieces of autism legislation in our nation’s history: the Combating Autism Act of 2006 and its subsequent reauthorization in 2011, the Combating Autism Reauthorization Act. The Autism Society is a proud supporter of both bills and applauds the bipartisan leadership shown by both Congressmen.
Congressman Doyle represents Pennsylvania’s 14th District, including Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He has been a leading figure in Washington, DC calling for awareness, education, research, and services for those affected by autism.
