Growing Up Together is a helpful pamphlet that teaches the other students how to be a good friend to someone with autism. Another version exists for teens.
Also on the Resource Materials page, you will find the Living with Autism series. These brochures provide the best information and transitioning to preschool, middle
school, across grades, and even into adulthood.
Another nice resource for teachers is the booklet, The Puzzle of Autism, created with the National Education Association. This publication explores many of the characteristics of autism and give strategies for addressing them in the classroom.
A number of Autism Advocate articles are also very helpful for teachers. There are entire editions dedicated to the uses of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and early intervention.
