Anastasia Triumphant

As I was undergoing clinical depression and suffering from the negative aspects of my own autism, I wrote and published my first young reader's novel, The Anastasia Project. My book is the story of a dolphin who awakens to find herself on a bleak world where everything seems to work against her, and to return to her home waters she struggles to decipher the meaning of a suspicious implant on the side of her head and overcome a deadly machine soon to doom all life in the sea.

More importantly, my book has roots in my own journey through depression and autism. I was able to put a lot of my identity into my character, Anastasia, and was able to relate to her own plight.

Wonderfully, my character, Anastasia, taught me never to lose hope!

Only to fight hard for it!
