Self-paced courses from the state of Texas

Texas' Region XIII Education Service Center is now offering several free online courses for autism educators. Visit https://ecampus.esc13.net/login.html, create your account and register using the specific course number (found below). The courses are self paced and will close on August 31 each year.

Autism 101: Top Ten Pieces to the Puzzle

The goal of this training is to provide information on basic components of autism spectrum disorders (ASD). In this online course, participants will be able to define the characteristics of ASD and identify research-based strategies to address the behavioral, social and communication needs of individuals with ASD.

Asperger 101 Online

This course is an overview of many of the issues that we see in students with Asperger Syndrome. This course will provide you with information related to diagnosis and the key features of Asperger Syndrome. In addition, you will review some intervention strategies and accommodations that may be needed in schools, including tools to help organize the school day.
