Autism Spectrum Disorders: What Works and Why?

ICDL Conference to be held November 6-8 in Bethesda, Md.
The Interdisciplinary Council on Developmental and Learning Disorders (ICDL) 13th Annual Conference will be held November 6-8, 2009, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Bethesda, Md. Stanley Greenspan, M.D., Sally Rogers, M.D., Amy Wetherby, Ph.D., Nancy Minshew, M.D., Susan Swedo, M.D., Morton Gernsbacher, Ph.D., and others will discuss developmental, interdisciplinary and comprehensive interventions for children with autism and other special needs. Topics include developmental interventions for children with ASD, medical and neurological concerns that interfere with learning, and transforming our educational system. Pre- and post-conference workshops as well as concurrent seminars during the conference will provide practical applications of theory and research, and offer parents and professionals opportunities to interact with leaders in the field of autism.
