Learning Express is destination for new toy
From the moment she became the parent of a special-needs child, Susan Ambrose has been putting together the pieces of Puzzles for Cures, an organization that creates toy puzzles to raise funds, awareness and community support for childhood disabilities. After spending several months selling these innovative products at charity walks and events, Ambrose has finally found a home for her organization. Learning Express, the nation’s largest franchise of educational toy stores, will be the preferred destination for Ambrose’s Autism Ribbon Floor Puzzle, with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Autism Society.
The Autism Ribbon Floor Puzzle measures 18" x 36" and is carefully crafted using “non-toxic coatings, which meet or exceed all U.S. toy testing standards.” Thirty-six interlocking pieces made of “easy-clean” material create a quality toy, perfectly suited to elementary school classrooms and physician waiting rooms. Information about autism and tips about how to interact with a child who has autism are included on the packaging of each item. The puzzle may be purchased at limited Learning Express locations; visit http://www.learningexpresstoys.com to find a location, and call ahead to verify availability. It will also be available online through the Autism Society's Web site.
