Model Me Kids presents “Children With Autism: One Teacher’s Experience,” an online documentary about a classroom of children with autism at the Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Lower/Middle School in Baltimore, Maryland. The 10-minute documentary gives a birds-eye view of a classroom of middle-school children with autism. The children are observed interacting with one another and with their teacher, and being interviewed. The children share in their own words their perspectives about autism. Their teacher, Deidre Rabuck, is shown teaching her students that while they have autism it is only one part of who they are.
"Children With Autism: One Teacher’s Experience” was produced by Model Me Kids, which produces social skills training videos for children with autism and Asperger’s Syndrome.
The documentary is available for free on the Model Me Kids website at http://modelmekids.com/autism-documentary.html. For more information about Model Me Kids, visit www.modelmekids.com.
