Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD)
CARD at the University of South Florida serves Florida families and professionals within the following counties: Charlotte, Collier, Desoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Highlands, Hillsborough, Lee, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk & Sarasota.
CARD-USF is a community-based project that provides information and consultation to individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders and related disabilities. CARD-USF also offers instruction and coaching to families and professionals through a training and assistance model.
Agency for Persons with Disabilities
The APD works in partnership with local communities and private providers to assist people who have developmental disabilities and their families. We also provide assistance in identifying the needs of people with developmental disabilities for supports and services.
The Family Network on Disabilities of Florida
The Family Network on Disabilities of Florida is a statewide network of families and individuals of all ages who may be at-risk, have disabilities or have special needs, and their families, professionals and concerned citizens. We provide education and training as well as information about various forms of services available throughout Florida.
Florida Developmental Disabilities Council
The purpose of the Council is to ensure that individuals with developmental disabilities and their families participate in the design of and have access to needed community services, individualized supports and other forms of assistance that promote self-determination, independence, productivity, and integration and inclusion in all facets of community life, through culturally competent programs.
