This July, the Autism Society is headed to Denver, Colorado for our 46th National Conference and Exposition. Denver is a world class city with rich history and tradition. Whether you are looking for a lively downtown scene or  breathtaking mountain views, Denver offers a little something for everyone.  To help you prepare for your arrival, we decided to give you seven sights and sounds of the Mile High City. With so many fascinating things to see, it was tough to narrow the list to just seven.  With that said, here is our rundown of some cool things to do while you are in town for our national conference.

Denver Botanic Gardens

Check out the gorgeous flora and fauna from the most beautiful green spaces in the city. Boasting thousands of species of plant life, this Denver gem offers a host of private gardens and beautiful flowers in bloom.

Denver Museum of Nature & Science

Home to remarkable exhibits highlighting the wonders of our universe, the Denver Museum of Art is a staple in the city’s cultural landscape. Learn about Colorado’s ancient rocks and minerals and marvel at the Mythic Creatures showcase featuring dragons, unicorns and mermaids.

Colorado Rockies vs Atlanta Braves

Take a timeout and enjoy a night at the ballpark and watch as the Colorado Rockies battle the Atlanta Braves at the legendary Coors Field.  Tickets start at just $5. Beware –  fireworks are scheduled for the evening of  Friday, July 9, 2015.

Downtown Aquarium

Explore the Aquarium’s many exhibits and discover a variety of multicolored marine animals and plant life.

16th Street Mall

16th Street Mall offers over 100 shops and restaurants as far as the eye can see. Free shuttle buses are available throughout the the mall.

Denver Zoo

Discover wildlife at the historic Denver Zoo! Check out the Toyota Elephant Passage, Benson Predator Ridge, Giraffe Encounter and Primate Panorama and other cool exhibits at the animal park.

Children’s Museum of Denver

With one-of-a-kind interactive exhibits, daily activities, year-round special events and surprises, there is always something to do and learn at the Children’s Museum.
